Energy Grants

The Rothley Trustees want to help small charities and voluntary groups operating in the North East, to reduce their energy bills.  They are continuing to set aside £20,000 in their budget for 2024/25 for small energy saving items e.g. roof insulation, radiator thermostats, blinds and curtains, energy efficient equipment, double glazing, timer switches etc.  (It is not for large projects such as solar panels and wind turbines.)  The Rothley Trust would like applicants to consider the effects their purchases will have on the environment. Wherever possible and where it is financially viable The Rothley Trust encourages charities to choose energy efficient electrical items with an energy rating of A or above. If applicable, applicants should include environmental considerations in their applications. Grants of £100 – £1,000 will be awarded at their quarterly meetings in  February, May, August and November. The Rothley Trust’s existing criteria applies.  Appeal letter to be sent with latest accounts to Mrs Gillian Allsopp by email to or by post to The Rothley Trust, PO Box 224, Bedlington, NE63 3FJ.
